Travels Printmaking

This piece was finished the first week of September 2001. I made the piece from the piece to represent my travels. I started traveling to get over the emotions I had from being a victim of a robbery. Luckily, I was not physically hurt, but so many people are when faced with violence, that is what the "blood" stains are for. When I was almost finished with the piece I discovered a few of my ancestors traveled on the Mayflower thus adding more to the piece. A week after I finished the piece airplanes struck the Twin Towers in New York. The top image reminds me of that day.
